BIOGRAPHY
Julia Schlotter Fanney graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, MO with a BFA in Graphic Design in 1981. The University of Missouri-Columbia Printing Services, the third largest collegiate printing services in the United States, employed her as a graphic layout specialist. In 1988 married an officer in the navy, raised three children, and divorced.
Made the decision to go back to school at the Art Institute of Jacksonville to gain computer skills. Received an AA in Graphic Design in 2009 but the recession hit the print industry hard and switched the trajectory of my career. Taught for 2 ½ years at a private school as an art teacher. Since 2010 have been a member of SoMMA, Society of Mixed Media Artists. Meanwhile, received my Professional Teaching Certification from St. John’s River State College in December 2013. Continuing in the educational track, I am currently seeking my Master of Arts in Art Education at the University of Florida.
